"To me, and seemingly only me, Ed, Edd n Eddy was an ugly mess of revolting mucus-like colors, dull stories, gross-out visuals, and unlikable characters." ~ PhantomStrider on LiveStrider.

Ed, Edd n Eddy is an animated comedy television series created by Danny Antonucci for Cartoon Network, and the fifth of the network's Cartoon Cartoons. The series revolves around three preteen boys named Ed, Edd (called "Double D" to avoid confusion with Ed), and Eddy—collectively known as "the Eds"—who live in a suburban cul-de-sac in the fictional town of Peach Creek. Under the unofficial leadership of Eddy, the trio frequently invent schemes to make money from their peers to purchase their favorite confection, jawbreakers. Their plans usually fail, leaving them in various, often humiliating, predicaments.

While the show was massively popular on Cartoon Network, Strider always hated the show growing up. He found the characters unlikeable, he thought the voice acting was annoying, he didn't like the show's premise of the Eds trying and failing to scam the Neighborhood Kids into giving them money for jawbreakers because he found it dull and repetitive, he found the comedy unfunny particularly the gross-out humor and the moments involving Jonny and Plank as he never understood the humor behind Jonny having a plank for a best friend and hates how the show tries to push that joke continuously, and he thought the art style looked ugly and gross.

It doesn't help for him that it was created by the same man behind The Brothers Grunt, and he doesn't think this show is that much of a step up from The Brothers Grunt. Ironically, some fans of his videos thought he disliked the show for being "too mean-spirited", even though he has expressed displeasure in how mean-spirited the characters can be, he never really said that was the reason.

What puzzles him the most about the show's popularity is that there are a lot of people who consider this show to be the best Cartoon Network show over other Cartoon Network shows such as Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, and Teen Titans as he feels that those shows offer a lot more quality than this show does.

The closest thing about the show he felt that was tolerable was Double D, who he thought was an okay character but didn't like how he always lets Eddy manipulate him. He admitted that this was the first show that made him switch to Nickelodeon and give it a chance. This got Strider into SpongeBob, which he considers one of Nickelodeon's best shows, and is the first time he saw how great Nickelodeon was back in the day, as when he made his best Nickelodeon shows list, most of his choices were from Early Nickelodeon.
